Widely viewed as the best quarterback prospect of a generation, and perhaps ever, Trevor Lawrence has officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. Lawrence announced his intent to enter the draft on Wednesday morning via a video on his Twitter account.
Now, all eyes are on Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team that holds the number one overall pick in the 2021 Draft. The Jaguars have yet to name a new head coach or general manager, but with Trevor officially available, Jacksonville's vacant jobs just got a whole lot more attractive. Shad Khan, armed with an arsenal of draft picks, salary cap space, young talent, and the golden ticket that is Trevor Lawrence, should be able to get his choice of the litter from this year's HC/GM crop. The chance to build around Trevor Lawrence with the cap space and draft capital that Jacksonville possesses will be too much for most to pass on. The next dominoes will fall in the coming weeks as the Jaguars name their new head coach and general manager. After that, free agency, where the Jags can begin to solidify their roster. And then, in late April, the Jaguars will be able to add Trevor and a host of other talented youngsters to the mix. Strap in Duval — it's going to be a wild ride.
