The Jaguars have re-signed soon to be free agent Josh Wells.
Wells is a swing tackle for the Jaguars that was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of James Madison in 2014. Wells quickly became a coaches favorite due to his positive attitude and versatility. He has appeared in 17 games during his three year career with the Jaguars with zero career starts. Wells will provide insurance and stability to a Jaguars offensive line that appears to be in flux following the news that the Jaguars would not be picking up starting left tackle Kelvin Beachum's option. Wells was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year on March 9th. The details of the new contract have not yet been released. He became, in earnest, the third Jaguar to re-sign with the team in 2017, following Abry Jones and Arrelious Benn. Chad Henne also agreed to a restructured contract with the team.
