When the Jaguars take the practice field on Wednesday they'll be without six key contributors.
RB TJ Yeldon (foot/ankle), CB DJ Hayden (toe), RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring), C Brandon Linder (knee), OG Andrew Norwell (foot), and DE Calais Campbell (ankle) are not expected to practice Wednesday. Also injured: Jalen Ramsey (knee/ankle), Jermey Parnell (knee), Malik Jackson (hamstring) TJ Yeldon has been battling through an ankle injury for much of the season. The addition of the foot designation is a bit concerning, but at this point it seems like he should be able to fight through the pain. He's been the Jaguars most effective offensive weapon in 2018. DJ Hayden is still considered week to week with a toe injury. Leonard Fournette, who has missed almost the entire season with a hamstring injury, may be close to returning, but for now fans will have to wait for their star running back to return. Brandon Linder is scheduled to miss every Wednesday practice this season, so his absence today is no surprise. Andrew Norwell has missed a fair amount of practice with a foot injury but continues to play through it on game days. We'll keep an eye on this one. Calais Campbell has been banged up, but has produced at a high level, despite playing with pain. It doesn't seem likely that he'll miss any game action, but this another one we will need to keep an eye on. Stay tuned for more. |
