The Jaguars, for the first time in a while, are favored to win a game this weekend. They'll play their final home game of 2018 on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. The Jaguars have been a train wreck this year, but the Redskins might be in an even worse position than the Jaguars. They're on their fourth QB of the season. Josh Johnson, who wasn't on an NFL roster two weeks ago, will start for the Redskins in Jacksonville. Until last week hadn't thrown a pass in the NFL since 2011. Thus, losers of eight of their last nine games, the Jags are favored to beat the Redskins by a whopping seven points. Even facing a wounded Washington offense, there's no telling if the Jaguars will be able to secure a win. But my question is do you even want them to? A win would certainly look good for the current regime. But a loss could help vault the Big Cats into the top five of the upcoming NFL Draft. |
