The Jaguars take on the Bills in Buffalo this Sunday. But do they have a legitimate shot to win? Each of our contributing writers weighs in with their Bold Predictions of the week.

This week, the Jaguars travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills. This game seems like an easy win for the Bills, and in reality it probably will be, but there’s a lot of upset potential in this game.

I think this game will be a massive slugfest. The Bills excel at running the ball, but our defense is consistently dominant against the run and forces teams to win through the air. Sure, stats show that we’re actually way better against the pass, but that’s more due to teams getting early leads and running to close games. We only allow 3.9 YPC on the ground, which is 9th best in the NFL. Our pass defense should be able to shut down Tyrod Taylor and the Bills’ passing offense, as they’re the worst passing attack in the league and we field the 5th best passing defense in the league. I don’t think the Bills reach 20 points, so the big challenge is us getting there. The Bills’ weakness on defense is on the ground, which is an area that the Jaguars have shown that they cannot exploit. There’s no way we’re consistently going to throw on this Bills defense, who is 11th best in the league. Running the ball is (again) our key to winning the game yet will probably continue to be our downfall.

I really think the Jags could win this game. I want to believe in them and stats show me that it’s quite possible we pull off the upset, but I am sticking with the safe pick, as I know that we always execute worse than stats say we should.

Prediction: JAX 13, BUF 17

Jordan de Lugo - @jordandelugo

In order for the Jaguars to achieve victory the formula is simple. Run the ball (at least somewhat competently) + Blake Bortles cannot beat himself. Unfortunately for the Jaguars those are the two aspects of the game that they simply can't get going this year. The run game is hapless and Bortles finds new ways to turn the ball over on a weekly basis. The Jaguars defense is going to show up and play well in this one - that's just what they do. But Bortles will make the big mistake that will eventually cost the Jaguars the game in the end. The Jaguars are more talented and may even look like the better team on the field tomorrow, but costly mistakes will do them in in the end.

Prediction: JAX 17, BUF 19

Zach Weeks - @zachweeks11

The Bills are heavily favored to beat the Jaguars this Sunday in Buffalo and I have to say, I get it. The Bills currently lead the league in rushing yards per game, – yes, even more yards per game than the Cowboys and Titans- rushing touchdowns and yards per-carry. Tyrod Taylor also has the most rushing yards amongst quarterbacks and his mobility will be the key to victory for the Bills. The main difference between our two teams is the simple fact that when plays break down, the Jaguars crumble and the Bills thrive. This will be another close loss for the Jaguars.

Prediction: JAX 13, BUF 24
