On Thursday, just days after his wife suffered a miscarriage, Nick Foles returned to practice for the Jaguars. Earlier in the week, the Jaguars announced that Nick Foles was excused from practice for personal reasons. Speculation was rampant across the Twittersphere, but no one knew just why Foles was absent from OTAs. On Monday Jaguars' head coach, Doug Marrone commented: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick and his family."
Finally, on Wednesday evening, the world got some clarity on the matter. Nick Foles' wife, Tori, shared (via Instagram) that she had a miscarriage over the weekend. After 15 weeks of pregnancy with their second baby, a boy, Tori and Nick lost their child. Heartbreaking. But even after this tremendous loss, Nick Foles returned to practice just days later. He's fully committed to football and fully committed to the Jacksonville Jaguars. |
