Jaydon Mickens has been named the week 14 AFC Special Teams Player of the Week .
This after a sterling performance that helped the Jaguars to take down long time NFL powerhouse the Seattle Seahawks. Mickens had quite the day against the 'Hawks. He returned a punt for 72 yards down to the 1 yard line that set up a Jaguars touchdown. On top of that he returned a kickoff for 20 yards and even made a special teams tackle. The midseason move to make Jaydon Mickens the starting punt returner for the Jags has paid huge dividends. He's now the first player in franchise history to earn AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors twice in one season. It appears, for now, that the Jaguars have found an elite playmaker on special teams. Stay tuned for more! Follow Jordan de Lugo on Twitter. |
