The Jaguars seemingly get shafted every year around this time when Madden ratings start rolling out. For the most part that held true this year. Calais Campbell, who recorded the second most sacks in the NFL last season and came in second in Defensive Player of the Year voting, garnered a rating of just 85. Cam Robinson, who had a promising rookie season at LT comes, in at just 72. The list goes on. However, Madden 19 did get one Jaguar's rating absolutely correct. Jalen Ramsey is the highest rated CB and DB, for that matter, in the game. With a 96 overall rating Ramsey is the sixth highest rated player, trailing only Aaron Rodgers, Antonio Brown, Aaron Donald, Luke Kuechly, and Tom Brady. The rating is well deserved. By nearly every measurable statistic - outside of interceptions - Jalen Ramsey was the top cornerback in football last year. He made his first Pro Bowl, was named 1st Team All-Pro, and even sealed the deal in the Jaguars first playoff victory in over a decade by picking off a pass at the end of the Jaguars Wild Card victory over the Bills. He has elite athleticism, length, incredible strength and toughness for a CB, and a nose for the football. He often bates QBs into doing what he wants them to do, resulting in interceptions, pass deflections, and even completions that come short of the first down marker on third downs. At just 23 years old Ramsey is already the best cornerback in football and he's only getting better. Mover and Shaker Jags Pin
