The Jaguars avoided losing perhaps their best defensive player for their upcoming contest with the Chargers. As Ian Rapoport first reported only one player was suspended by the league this week - Mike Evans of Tampa Bay.

That means that AJ Green, and more importantly Jalen Ramsey were both not suspended for their part in an on field altercation Sunday that saw both players get ejected. Jalen Ramsey was certainly the instigator here, but it's no crime to get under the skin of your opponent. Ramsey did shove Green to the ground, which should have cost him at 15 yard personal foul, but Green's response was deserving of an ejection and probably should have led to Green being suspended. After Green was shoved to the ground he proceeded to get up and attempt to choke Jalen Ramsey while throwing punches at the face of the Jaguars best defensive back. While neither player was innocent their crimes were clearly not equal.

The fact that neither will face a suspension actually helps the Jaguars in two ways. Ramsey not getting suspended helps the Jaguars for obvious reasons (the high powered Chargers offense being reason number one), but Green not being suspended also helps the Jags. Green and the Bengals face the Titans next. Yes, the same Titans that the Jaguars are tied with for the AFC South division lead. A highly motivated AJ Green could greatly help the Bengals to push the Titans to their limit. Tennessee is on a three game winning streak, but their last two wins were far from impressive. They were barely able to beat the Browns in week seven and the Ravens by just three points in week nine ( the same team the Jaguars beat 44-7) and needed overtime to beat the hapless Browns. The Titans will be favored against the Bengals, but the Bengals could potentially give a much tougher contest that most would expect.
