The Jaguars rookie WR Dede Westbrook has been as impressive in preseason as any player on the Jaguars roster, but he was mysteriously held out of the Jaguars third preseason contest against the Panthers last Thursday. After the game head coach Doug Marrone told the media that the team decided to hold Westbrook out, even after he participated in team warm ups prior to the game.
Westbrook, according to Jaguars.com, returned to practice on Saturday. Now, according to Ryan O'Halloran the Jaguars young WR is in Philadelphia seeking a second opinion on his undisclosed injury.
If Westbrook is forced to miss time early on in the season it'll give players like Keelan Cole, Rashad Greene, and Shane Wynn a much better chance to make the Jaguars roster, and maybe even allow some of the Jaguars fringe receivers to get playing time in a regular season game. Stay tuned for more. |
