At this point in the season every NFL team is dealing with a litany of injuries. The same holds true for the Jaguars.
The only Jaguars, however, to miss practice on Wednesday were Allen Hurns and Telvin Smith. Hurns is dealing with an ankle injury that held him out of the Jaguars week 12 loss. Smith is in the concussion protocol. Hurns seems unlikely to return in week 13, while Smith's status for the Jaguars game against the Colts is up in the air. If Smith is unable to go then Paul Posluszny and Blair Brown will see an uptick in their snaps this week. Limited at practice were WR Marqise Lee (knee), CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle), FS Tashaun Gipson (knee), LB Donald Payne (hamstring), LB Lerentee McCray (hamstring), OG Patrick Omameh (quad), OL Jermey Parnell (knee). The Jaguars will hope for all of their limited participants to be ready for their divisional matchup against the Colts Sunday, but the coaching staff might be wise to hold out some key pieces against the Colts if they are not yet at full strength. The Jaguars, even without several key players, should have no problem dismantling their rivals from Indy. Their bigger concern should be getting their players ready for the Seahawks in week 14. I'm not suggesting the Jaguars overlook the Colts in game planning or preparation, merely suggesting that rushing players back who are not yet ready might not be the most prudent choice against a lack luster Colts team.
