On the final day to trim NFL roster to 53 players the Jaguars have traded interior offensive lineman Luke Bowanko to the Baltimore Ravens.
Bowanko, who was originally drafted by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft, was in the middle of a competition for the starting job at left guard. During his rookie season Bowanko started 14 games at center, but Bowanko has struggled with injuries and wasn't able to lock down a starting job on the offensive line since his rookie year. This is good news for Tyler Shatley, Patrick Omameh, and Earl Watford, who are all trying to make the team as interior offensive lineman. It's not yet being reported what the Jaguars will receive in return for Bowanko, but it would be surprising if it's anything more than a 5th or 6th round pick. Stay tuned for more as the Jaguars trim their roster to 53 players. |
