Via a tweet from the Jaguars Director of Public Relations, Tad Dickman, the release date of the new uniforms has been set for April 19th, the same day as the Jaguars annual State of the Franchise.
It's been publicly known for months that the Jaguars would be donning new uniforms in 2018 and that they would be released in April, prior to the NFL Draft. Now we know exactly when they'll be released to the public.
There's been much speculation about the Jaguars new uniforms and exactly what direction they'll go with the new look. When the team's President Mark Lamping spoke about the new uniforms earlier in the offseason he had this to say:
We did a lot of work directly with Nike and shared that work with Shad and Tom . . . Shad was more involved up-front and Tom was more involved once we got some things together. Tom had some really specific design principles that were important to him — very traditional. This tweet from Sam Kouvaris suggesta that the uniforms will indeed feature more teal - another rumor that has been swirling for months.
