The Jaguars hosted a long list of potential draft prospects on Tuesday including Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack, Joey Bosa, and Vernon Hargreaves III. Today they will be hosting another impressive group of prospects. Here's a list of players that will be in Jacksonville today!
Leonard Floyd. Georgia -- Floyd is a versatile edge defender that is projected to go somewhere after the top 10 picks in the upcoming draft. He has incredible, breathtaking athleticism, but lacks the strength to be considered a top 10 pick. He could be a candidate for the Jags if they elect to trade down into the teens. DeForest Buckner. Oregon -- Buckner may be the best player in the draft. A hulking player, who has a rare combination of size, quickness, and strength for a a defensive lineman. Buckner seems to compare favorably to Malik Jackson, the Jaguars recent signing, but with a bevy of defensive tackles already on the roster, it seems unlikely that the Jags would pull the trigger on Buckner. Jayron Kearse. Clemson -- Kearse is a freaky athlete at safety that will likely be available in the second or third round of the draft, and if he is available in the third could be a guy the Jaguars can't pass up. Vonn Bell. Ohio State -- Bell is a good football player, but lacks the ideal speed and range on tape for a free safety in the Jags defensive scheme. He could be a fit for the Jags in the third round or beyond. Ryan Kelly. Alabama -- Kelly is the clear cut, according to most, interior offensive lineman in the draft. He could be a target for the Jaguars in the second round if he is still on the board Laremy Tunsil. Ole Miss -- It is a virtual certainty that Tunsil will go number one overall to the Titans as they need to protect their number one asset, Marcus Mariota. The Jaguars are doing their due diligence with this one. Noah Spence. Eastern Kentucky -- Spence is widely considered the best pure pass rushing prospect in the draft, but with drug issues leading his dismissal from Ohio State, Spence has lots of questions to answer. He could be an option for the Jags if the decide to trade down. |
