As first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jaguars will bring in kicker Dan Carpenter for a work out.
Over the last several weeks questions of current Jaguars kicker Jason Myers competency have risen to the surface. Against the Patriots in week one of the preseason he missed two long, yet makable kicks. He followed that up by missing a field goal and an extra point against the Buccaneers on Thursday. At this point Jaguars fans should hope that Dan Carpenter impresses the Jaguars in his workout, because Myers can't be relied upon. Dan Carpenter, 31, has quite a bit of NFL experience. He started his career with in Miami where he played his first five seasons. He also spent extensive time with the Bills. Carpenter's career FG % is 84 - not bad at all. in 2016 with the Bills his accuracy dropped down to 76%, but a fresh start in Jacksonville may do the kicker well.
