The Jaguars enter week five atop the AFC South with a 3-2 record. They return home for just their second game in 2017 at the friendly confines of EverBank Field. They'll face the Los Angeles Rams, who also lead their division, the NFC West. As is the truth every week, the health of the team will be a huge factor.
So let's get to it. JAGUARS WEDNESDAY PRACTICE INJURY REPORT QB Blake Bortles, Wrist, Full Participant WR Jaelen Strong, Hamstring, Full WR Marqise Lee, Ribs, Full CB Jalen Ramsey, Ankle, Limited SS Jarrod Wilson, Shoulder, Full RB Leonard Fournette, Ankle, Limited RB Chris Ivory, Hip Flexor, Limited LB Lerenetee McCray, Knee, Full C Brandon Linder, Illness, Did Not Participate OL Patrick Omameh, Hip Flexor, Limited DT Malik Jackson, Groin, Full Participant Not too much to see here. Sure, the list includes a lot of names, but it appears nearly everyone, save starting center Brandon Linder, should be good to go against the Rams in week six. Linder missed the Jaguars last contest, against the Steelers, with the same issue. We're not sure what's going on with Linder's illness, or whether or not he will be able to go against the Rams. What we do know is that his backup Tyler Shatley performed admirably in Linder's absence last week and didn't have any hiccups with the center QB exchange, or getting lined up quickly enough. We also know that the Rams DT Aaron Donald is the most disruptive interior presence in football when he is at his best. If Linder can't go then Shatley will face by far the biggest and most difficult challenge of his career. It seems possible that Jealen Strong will play his first down as a Jaguar this week. |
