The Jacksonville Jaguars head into week seven after a disappointing home loss to the Rams. The Jaguars travel north to Indianapolis to take on their division rival the Colts. The game has bit time post season and division race implications, so the Jaguars will hope to be as healthy as possible. Having said, there are some injury concerns. Let's get to it.
The Jaguars were without four starters in practice on Wednesday. Brandon Linder, AJ Bouye, Marqise Lee, and Leonard Fournette were all held out. Brandon Linder is getting over an unspecified illness that held him out of the last two games. If he is unable to play again in week seven, which seems likely at this point, then Tyler Shatley will get the start for the third straight game. Shatley has played well in Linder's absence over the last two seasons. AJ Bouye is dealing with a hamstring injury and was a late add to the injury report on Wednesday. Bouye's injury isn't considered serious and he should be good to go against the Colts this weekend. Marqise Lee seems to be sustaining a new ailment every week. He's been battling through several different injuries and now has a knee injury. Based on the Jaguars extreme lack of depth a WR right now it seems unlikely that Lee would miss the game, but I would monitor his status throughout the week. Leonard Fournette sustained an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars loss to the Rams last week. It appeared, for a moment, that the injury might be serious. But Fournette was medically cleared to return to the game. Fournette is not expected to participate in practice on Thursday, but is expected to play Sunday. |
