According to Mark Dominik, per Zig Fracassi, the Jaguars have 'honed in on their guy with a defensive background.'
This would lead one to believe that the Jaguars are focused on Mike Smith, who is the only coach the Jaguars interviewed with a defensive background. So, if you were one of the anti Mike Smith guys, you might want to prepare yourself for the reality that Mike Smith is likely to be your head coach in 2017. If you liked the idea of Mike Smith being the head man then get excited, it looks like you got your guy!
Has Abry Jones played his way into a pay day?
When his name was called this year, Abry Jones played much more like a starter than the reserve he was heading into 2016. It was his fourth year, and his fourth one year deal. But Jones' play in 2016 may have earned him more of a long term pay day, whether it be with the Jaguars or somewhere else.
