The Jaguars second round pick Cam Robinson has signed his rookie contract. The era of long holdouts for draft picks is essentially over. The Jaguars have now signed every 2017 draft pick save third round pick Dawuane Smoot.
Robinson was the fourth overall player in his high school class (three spots behind first round pick Leonard Fournette) and started every game he could while he was at Alabama. He earned many honors while at 'Bama including Freshman All-American, two All-SEC selections, and in his junior year (final year) in college he earned 1st team All-American status. As it stands now Robinson will compete with Branden Albert (If Albert every shows up to play) for the starting left tackle spot on the offensive line. The 21 year old stands 6'6'' tall and weighs in at over 320 lbs. Even if Branden Albert does end his hold out it seems a strong chance that Robinson will earn his way into the starting lineup for the Jaguars sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for more!
