Omameh, who is only 26 years old, has started 25 games over the past two seasons. In 2014 he started all 16 games for the Bucs before joining Chicago in 2015 where he started 9 games last season.
Omameh will bring more depth and starting experience to an interior offensive line that will likely feature a third year player at center, and a second year player at right guard. At 6'4'' and 305 lbs. Omameh excels as a run blocker, but left much to be desired as a pass protector in 2015. Omameh may make the 53 man roster at the end of camp, he may push for a starting job, and he may not make the team at all. What is certain is that he will bring a veteran mindset and starting experience to a group that needs to improve greatly in 2016. In order to make rome for Omameh the Jaguars waived offensive lineman Patrick Miller. |
