JAGUARS & RAVENS THURSDAY INJURY REPORT: LINDER & GIPSON RETURN, RAVENS WITHOUT KEY CONTRIBUTORS9/21/2017 The Jaguars and Ravens face off this Sunday at 9:30 am in London. Here's a look at the injury situation for both teams as of Thursday.
JAGUARS QB Blake Bortles, Right Wrist, Full Participant OT Cam Robinson, Shoulder, Limited CB Jalen Ramsey, Ankle, Did Not Participate FS Tashaun Gipson, Ankle, Limited WR Jaelen Strong, Hamstring, Did Not Participate WR Allen Hurns, Shoulder, Full Participant LB Lerentee McCray, Knee, Did Not Participate C Brandon Linder, Knee, Limited DT Malik Jackson, Groin, Limited For the Jaguars, the good news is that Brandon Linder, who has been a regular on the injury report over the last couple of weeks with an undisclosed knee injury, returned to practice today in a limited role. He is the best player on the Jaguars offensive line and someone that needs to be in the lineup for the Jaguars to run the ball they would like to. The not so great news is that Jalen Ramsey, who has been battling an ankle injury since week 1, was not at practice on Thursday. It's not time to panic -- Ramsey missed every practice last week and was a game time decision and still played, very well I might add. Key contributors Malik Jackson, Tashaun Gipson, and Allen Hurns all participated in practice and should be good to go for Sunday. Newly acquired WR Jaelen Strong missed practice with a hamstring injury -- he's a guy the Jaguars would really like to have healthy in week 3 and beyond. Lerentee McCray missed his second straight practice. While he isn't a house hold name, he has been a key contributor on special teams and has had some nice moments on defense in the early going this year. Blake Bortles appears to be fine, even though he's battling through a right wrist injury. RAVENS The Ravens don't provide a traditional daily injury report like the Jaguars do, so we had to do some digging to figure out who's participating in practice for them and who isn't. Here you go: The Ravens are dealing with some more serious injury issues than are the Jaguars. They already have 15 players on injured reserve. On Tuesday we learned they'll be without their best offensive lineman, Marshall Yanda, for the remainder of the season. Luke Bowanko, who was a Jaguar for the first three years of his career, might get the start in Yanda's stead. The Ravens might also be with out their best interior defensive lineman. Brandon Williams, despite appearing in a video in front of Wembley Stadium on the Ravens Twitter account, is still not participating in practice for the team. If he is unable to play the Jaguars will have a decided advantage on the interior. Ravens RB Terrance West was also held out of practice on Thursday. If he is unable to go, the Ravens will be down their top two RBs as Danny Woodhead is already on season ending IR. Tight end Maxx Williams was spotted in a walking boot on Thursday and appears to be doubtful for the week 3 contest. The Ravens have a couple of other injuries, but none to major contributors.
