The Jaguars have several key players who may or may not be available for their week 11 contest with the Browns. Marqise Lee, who has been battling a knee injury for nearly a month, returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday after missing practice Wednesday. Regardless of how much work he gets during the week Lee is a near guarantee to play on Sunday. The Jaguars don't have enough depth at WR with their current injury situation for Lee to miss a game. He's been battling through injuries all season and will continue to do so. Rookie DE Dawuane Smoot, who is primarily a back up and special teamer at this point, also returned to practice. While he's not a huge contributor at this point having depth on the defensive line is key. The Jaguars have several players on their offensive line dealing with injuries as well. Jermey Parnell and Patrick Omameh were both held out of practice again. Every day this miss it becomes more likely that Tyler Shatley and Josh Wells will have to start against the Browns. Both back ups have played well when their number has been called.
WR and special teams gunner Arrelious Benn was downgraded from a limited participant Wednesday to non participant on Thursday. He's dealing with a knee injury. Allen Hurns remains in a walking boot following a rough ankle sprain. Backup rookie LB Blair Brown returned to practice as a limited participant. Stay tuned for more! |
