Branden Albert, the newly acquired left tackle, hadn't spoken with the Jaguars in about two months - that was until late this week when Tom Coughlin confirmed on 1010XL that Doug Marrone had in fact spoken with Albert for the first time in quite a while.
It appears that Albert was attempting to hold out for more money, but at this point it appears the Jaguars did not give in. Now according toNFL Network's James Palmer "There is a belief by some people down there that he will be showing up for OTAs when they start on Tuesday"
That's far from a definitive statement. But according to this report Marrone and Albert exchanged text messages. This would end Albert's hold out after missing the first two phases of the offseason program.
Albert, 32, has struggled to stay healthy as of late and will have to fend off Cam Robinson for his starting left tackle spot. Stay tuned for more.
