The Jaguars have reportedly interviewed a number of candidates for their vacant offensive coordinator position, but none has the gravitas of a Gary Kubiak. Darrell Bevell, Todd Monken (hire by the Browns), and John DeFillipo have all done some great things in the NFL, but Gary Kubiak's resume is unparalleled amongst the group.

According to Ian Rapoport Kubiak will interview for the Jaguars OC job tomorrow.

Let’s take a look back at his coaching career to see just what Kubiak has been able to accomplish in the NFL.

Kubiak served as the Broncos offensive coordinator for an amazing 10 consecutive years from 1995-2005. During that time span the Broncos won two Super Bowls and had one of the most prolific rushing attacks in recent memory.

He then spent eight seasons with the Texans as their head coach. All he did in Houston was coach the team to three consecutive top five offensive seasons and five top eleven offensive finishes.

After being fired by the Texans Kubiak went back to coordinating, this time with the Baltimore Ravens. He spent one season in Baltimore and the Ravens offense thrived, finishing in the top ten in most offensive categories.

Kubes was then rehired by the Broncos, this time to be their head coach. The team won the Super Bowl during his first season at the helm and then finished 9-7 in 2016. Kubiak stepped away from the job following that 2016 season due to health concerns. He then spent 2017 and 2018 as a personnel advisor.

Kubiak’s health should be a concern, but his track record isn’t. He’s coached some of the top offenses in the league over the past twenty plus seasons and has reached the pinnacle of the sport. But if he’s healthy Kubiak is the obvious choice for the position. The Jaguars need to get their run game back on track in 2019 and Kubiak could greatly help from that standpoint. He’s well known for his zone running schemes.
