According to this tweet from Mike Silver, Mike McCoy is still in play for the Jaguars.
McCoy is widely regarded as one of the best offensive minds in all of football, and his experience as an Offensive Coordinator and Head Coach makes him THE hottest potential Offensive Coordinator candidate on the market. He's worked with some of the best offenses in recent memory with Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers. What makes this report so odd is the fact that it's already been reported that Nathaniel Hackett will return to the Jaguars as their offensive coordinator. Perhaps the Jaguars will demote Hackett back to his former role as Quaterbacks Coach, but in all likelihood McCoy will end up somewhere else. As the hottest potential OC candidate on the market, McCoy is receiving interest from several teams including the Broncos, who may be more attractive than the Jags in McCoy's eyes as he has been there before and there is a lot of talent on the Broncos roster. Again, I would guess, at this point, that Hackett will be the Offensive Coordinator for the Jaguars in 2017, so take this report for what it is -- a very vague tweet that doesn't really say anything concrete.
