The Jaguars most consistent performer over the last two seasons has been . . . Josh Lambo?

That's right. It hasn't been Telvin Smith or Calais Campbell or Jalen Ramsey or Brandon Linder.

Josh Lambo has been the Jaguars best and most consistent player. Yes, kickers are football players too. Prior to Lambo arriving in Jacksonville the Jaguars employed a basket case, who couldn't even be relied upon to make extra points with any regularity. The Jaguars decided to part ways with Jason Myers after six games in 2017. It's hard to blame them after he made just 11 of 15 attempts to start the season. His replacement was Josh Lambo, who was previously cut by the Chargers.

"One man's trash is another man's treasure".

Well, in this case it's one team's trash is another team's treasure. Since arriving in Jacksonville Lambo has made 31/32 field goal attempts and made 34/36 extra point tries. He's not only been a great kicker, he's been the BEST KICKER in the game. 

In 2017 Lambo made 95% of his field goal tries connecting on 19/20 attempts. That was good for third in the NFL. In 2018, however, he's been perfect, drilling all 12 of his field goal attempts. He's one of three kickers that has yet to miss a field goal this season. He's also made each and every extra point so far this year. 

Before Lambo begins getting mentioned in conversations of the greatest kickers in the game, he'll need to have a couple more seasons with lights out performances through out. But make no mistake about it, at this very moment, there isn't a better kicker on this planet. 

During a 2018 Jaguars season, where bright spots have been hard to find, Josh Lambo has been the Jaguars only consistent player, game in and game out. He deserves a lot of credit, not only for his accurate leg, but also for his awesomely quirky celebrations.
