The Jaguars will be without their most productive WR this year against the 49ers. Marqise Lee has been dealing with an ankle injury he sustained in the Jaguars week 15 win over the Texans and will be out for week 16.
A month ago if Lee were to miss a game it would have led to immediate panic, but over the last month three young receivers have emerged as reliable targets for the Jaguars. Dede Westbrook, Keelan Cole, and Jaydon Mickens have become big time targets for Blake Bortles. In addition to the emergence of the Jaguars young receivers, the team could be getting Allen Hurns back this week. Hurns, who has been out with an ankle injury, last played in week 11. He's as steady as they come and should immediately become a top target for Bortles. Reserve WR Larry Pinkard will miss this game with a concussion. The Jaguars activated WR Jaelen Strong for the first time this season. Backup pass rusher and special teamer Lerentee McCray is questionable with a a neck injury. He was a limited participant in the Jaguars Friday practice after missing Thursday. Stay tuned for more! Follow Jordan de Lugo on Twitter. |
