NFL Network hosted a recent segment focused on Jaguars rookie RB Leonard Fournette. When their resident RB expert and Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDanian Tomlinson was asked about his expectations for Fournette in Jacksonville, he had this to say:
this young man should be able to dominate the game . . . It's very possible he can get around 12 - 15 touchdowns.
Lofty expectations from perhaps the greatest running back of the 21st century and one of the top backs in NFL history. But his stance isn't an uncommon one. Fournette is garnering a lot of media attention as any running back selected in the top five would.
He's got a world of expectations heading into his rookie campaign, but he should be prepared for it. He's always had the highest of expectations from high school to college to the NFL. His unique combination of size, speed, and power draws comparisons to Adrian Peterson, Earl Campbell, and the great Bo Jackson. Only time will tell how Fournette fairs in his rookie season, but he appears a safe bet to have a major impact in year one for the Jaguars. Watch the Segment Follow Jordan de Lugo on Twitter
