The Jacksonville Jaguars were widely speculated to be interested in adding Jason Pierre-Paul to their already impressive defensive front. Well, that isn't going to happen anymore. According to Adam Schefter the Giants are going to apply their 2017 franchise tag to the veteran pass rusher.
If the Jaguars are still interested in adding a free agent pass rusher the field has now been greatly diminished as Pierre-Paul would have easily been the best fit for the Jags in terms of age and skill set.
Other potential free agent options include aging veterans Calais Campbell and Julius Peppers. If the Jaguars don't want to make the monetary investment in such of either of those guy then they could look to Jabaal Sheard, Devin Taylor, or even former Jaguar Andre Branch (woof). MORE FROM GENJAG
