The really good news: Leonard Fournette, the Jaguars best offensive weapon and rookie of the year candidate, will be good to go in this one. Fournette was held out of the Jaguars week seven contest against the Colts with an ankle injury, but following the Jaguars week eight bye Fournette practiced fully all week. The Jaguars were able to handle the Colts without Fournette's services, but they won't always have such an easy go of it.
More good news: Brandon Linder, the Jaguars best and most proven offensive lineman, also practiced fully all week and should be in the starting lineup for the Jags. He missed three straight games for the Jaguars with an illness and hadn't practiced in nearly a month. At times he'll be matched up with Geno Atkins, one of the best DTs in the game, so the return of Linder couldn't have come at a better time. Questionable? Marqise Lee and AJ Cann are both listed as questionable on the Jaguars final week nine injury report, but both are expected to play. Marqise Lee has been banged up with various injuries for the majority of the season - this week it's a knee. He's expected to power through again. AJ Cann suffered a triceps injury in Thursday's practice, but is expected to play with a brace. He too will be a key piece in trying to pave the way for Leonard Fournette AND will be key in slowing down Geno Atkins and the impressive Bengals D-Line. On the fence: Cam Robinson, who injured his ankle on the first drive of the Jaguars week seven matchup with the Colts, was a limited participant in practice all week. He stated early in the week that his goal was to play, but at this point it's completely up in the air as to whether or not he'll be able to go. If Robinson is held out Josh Wells will get the start at LT. Wells has playing experience and was impressive filling in during week seven. On the whole the Jaguars are very healthy at this point in the season. Their bye week came at the perfect time and allowed several players to heal before the Jaguars go on their stretch run to end the season. |
