After the Jaguars announced on Monday that they had "mutually parted ways" with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, it's been eerily quiet around Duval. There haven't been any rumors or reports about potential replacements. That is, until Friday morning. Ian Rapoport reported that the Jaguars interviewed former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo for their vacant OC job. While McAdoo isn't remembered fondly in New York, he did have success on offense and led the Giants to playoffs in 2016. According to a report from ESPN, former Cowboys' OC Scott Linehan will interview with the Jaguars this weekend. He'll also talk with the Giants and Panthers. The Panthers already have an offensive coordinator, so it's conceivable that Linehan would be interviewing for a lesser assistant job such as QB coach or passing game coordinator. But it would be odd for the Jaguars to interview an offensive assistant before hiring an offensive coordinator.
