The Jaguars' coaching staff expects Jalen Ramsey, who skipped the entire portion of the voluntary offseason program and OTAs, to be with the team when mandatory minicamp begins on Tuesday, June 11th. Jacksonville's head coach, Doug Marrone, was asked if he Ramsey would be in attendance. "I assume so," said Marrone. "All of our players that haven't been here are in communication with our coaches." The Jaguars had full attendance for 2018 mandatory minicamp, and it appears they expect the same will be the case in 2019.
Jalen Ramsey skipped OTAs in '17 and '18 but returned for the mandatory portion of the offseason both years. Anything else would be a surprise at this point. But Ramsey isn't the only player who has missed some time during OTAs. Starters Leonard Fournette, Yannick Ngakoue, and Dede Westbrook have all skipped several days of voluntary OTAs over the last three weeks. Stay tuned for more, but at this point, full attendance is expected on June 11th. |
