The Jaguars, according to AP's Mark Long, have waived second year QB Brandon Allen. Allen, originally a 6th round pick by the Jaguars in 2016, spent his entire rookie year on the Jaguars active roster.
He was expected, by most, to remain the third QB on the Jaguars roster. Clearly, the Jaguars had other plans. It appears, for now, that the Jaguars will role with Blake Bortles as the starting QB and Chad Henne as the backup. The Jaguars made a flurry of other roster moves today. Th4 team has added DT Eli Ankou, TE James O'Shaughnessy, LB Donald Payne, DB Lafayette Pits, T William Poehls. Stay tuned for more coverage on the Jaguars roster moves. |
