Branden Albert would be an upgrade, but he comes with great risk
Ryan O'Halloran and Phillip Heilman expertly break down the Jaguars interest in Branden Albert. Where the interest comes from is obvious. The opportunity to acquire a prototype left tackle that has made two Pro Bowls (he made the Pro Bowl as recently as 2015) and has an incredible pedigree is clearly something Tom Coughlin is interested in, but Albert does come with great risk. He's already 32 years old, which would suggest that he could have anywhere from one to even three of four solid seasons left in him. But that's not the only issue - Albert has missed time due to injury in each of the last five seasons, including 17 games over the past four - the injury concern is all too real with Albert.
