Blake Bortles played through a wrist injury on his throwing hand for the entire 2017 season and apparently some of 2016. That's not news -- he was listed on the Jaguars injury report week in and week out with a right wrist injury.
The news here is that it had to be surgically corrected. All signs point to it being nothing major, but when the QB of the AFC runner ups undergoes surgery on his throwing hand people pay attention (right?). Well, at the very least Adam Schefter is on top of it. He was the first to report the news Monday evening.
According to this report Bortles had been playing through the injury since December 2016. If more news becomes available regarding Bortles surgery and recovery we will provide updates. But for now it appears this was a minor procedure that won't keep Bortles from missing anytime significant time. Bortles future with the Jaguars has been and will continue to be a great point of contention amongst Jaguars fans and media. Stay tuned for more. Follow Generation Jaguar on Twitter. |
