One FanDuel writer thinks the Jaguars are a strong candidate to win Super Bowl LIV.

Even with the addition of former Super Bowl MVP, Nick Foles, the Jaguars aren't getting a lot of love when it comes to early 2019 playoff predictions. According to most betting sites, the Jaguars have the third-best odds of winning their own division, behind the Texans and Colts. It's hard to blame the Jaguars detractors out there. The team imploded in 2018, and it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing in Duval county this offseason. But one FanDuel writer thinks the Jaguars are a dark horse candidate to WIN THE SUPER BOWL?!

That's right.

Braulio Perez of FanDuel writes that the Jaguars are the number one dark horse candidate to win Super Bowl LIV. Also on the list are Dallas, Baltimore, Green Bay, and Seattle.
Here's what Perez had to say about his number one Super Bowl dark horse, the Jacksonville Jaguars:

The Blake Bortles nightmare is officially over for Tom Coughlin and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Signing Nick Foles to lead the offense was the No. 1 priority for Jacksonville this offseason and there's no question that it makes them contenders. Though their odds (+4200) might say otherwise, don't forget they were a couple plays away from reaching the Super Bowl just two seasons ago. And that was with Bortles running the show, not a Super Bowl MVP. Don't sleep on this team now that Foles is under center in Jacksonville.

Well, if you were looking for a little pep in your step, there you have it. A lot will need to go right for the Jaguars to get back to the playoffs, especially on the offensive side of the ball (as I outlined earlier this week), let alone to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history.

What do you think? Is Perez off his rocker? Or do you see the Jaguars as a potential Super Bowl contender? Let us know in the comments below.
