It appears that the Jaguars are ready to make defensive lineman Malik Jackson one of the richest defensive players in the NFL.

The report states that the Jaguars will make Malik Jackson the fourth highest paid defensive lineman based on annual salary in the entire NFL. It also indicates that the deal will be done soon after the 4 p.m. opening of free agency on Wednesday. This news is sure to excite Jaguars fans and media alike. 

Jackson accumulated 60 quarterback hurries in 2015 and helped the Denver Broncos defense obliterate the Panthers offensive line in the Super Bowl. Jackson will likely play the 3 technique along with playing some on the edge for the Jaguars defense. This is the third consecutive year that the Jaguars have nabbed a Denver free agent.
