Round 1. 5th Overall Round 2. 38th Overall Round 3. 69th Overall Round 4. 103rd Overall Round 5. 146th Overall Round 6. 181st Overall Round 6. 201st Overall Round 7. 226th Overall What are the Jaguars needs?Edge Rusher - The Jaguars have loaded up with talented interior defensive lineman, but they lack players that can create pressure coming off the edge. Dave Caldwell recently stated that he believes the Jaguars are fine with the pass rushers currently on their roster, but don't be surprised if the Jags take an edge rusher early in the draft. Interior Offensive Line - The Jaguars currently have two very good starting caliber interior offensive lineman (Brandon Linder & A.J. Cann), but there are three interior line spots and the Jaguars are likely to draft an interior lineman, whether it be a guard or a center, in the first half of the draft. Linebacker - The Jaguars have ZERO depth at linebacker at almost every linebacking position. They will address their linebacker depth at some point in this draft. Defensive Playmakers - The Jaguars currently have some very good defensive players and have added a couple of big time playmakers this offseason in Malik Jackson and Tashaun Gipson, but they still need that one elite defender, and hopefully that's who they get in the 1st Round Players to watch for:Here is a short list of players to keep an eye on with the Jaguars first round pick.
Jalen Ramsey - viewed by many as the best player in the draft, Jalen Ramsey brings an incredible amount of athleticism and star potential at the cornerback or free safety spot. Myles Jack - probably the best fit for the Jaguars if available at 5, Jack can be the playmaking, do it all linebacker, that the Jaguars so desperately need. Shaq Lawson - a highly productive edge rusher for one of the best defenses in football. Lawson possess a combination of rare size and athleticism that could be a fit in Jacksonville. Joey Bosa - a true edge rusher that is likely to be an impact starter for years to come in the league, but might lack the upside to truly become a super star. DeForest Buckner - Buckner is a dominant player, but he plays a position the Jaguars are already loaded at with Malik Jackson and Sen'Derrick Marks. Buckner is an intriguing talent, but wouldn't have the same impact in year one as the aforementioned players. Leonard Floyd - A long, explosive pass rusher, Leonard Floyd would be a candidate in a Jaguars Trade down scenario. His lack of production and skinny frame keep him from being a top 5 pick. |
