NFL clubs were required to cut their rosters down to 53 players on Tuesday. As a result, a bevy of young players (less than four years experience) were placed on waivers.
Three such players that the Jaguars' waived, were claimed by other teams around the league. Third-year linebacker Quincy Williams, who was a third-round pick by the Jaguars in 2019, was claimed by the Jets. He'll join his brother Quinnen in New York. Jaguars 2020 fifth-round pick, wide receiver Collin Johnson, was claimed by the Giants and will also head north to the Big Apple. Former undrafted free agent tight end Ben Ellefson was claimed by the Vikings, who lost Irv Smith to the injured reserve. Follow Jordan on Twitter. |
